White Sands National Monument

Just south of a large missle range in New Mexico is a gorgeous national monument filled with crisp white sand dunes. I had the park to myself and was able to occupy a picnic area the entire day while kids sled down the dunes in the distance. Sleds can be rented at the ranger station for $5.

These photos do the sand dunes little justice. At some point I’ll invest in a decent DSLR instead of using my phone.
